CORPORATE DAYS

Farnley is well suited to small corporate fishing days, whether for entertaining clients, thanking a team or bringing together a group for a well-run day on the water. Set on a private stretch of the River Tyne, with access to the trout lakes and support from the Farnley team, these days can be tailored to suit both experienced anglers and complete beginners.

Each day is designed to be relaxed, well organised and enjoyable, combining time on the river with good food, proper hosting and expert guidance where needed. Depending on the group, the day may include salmon fishing on the main beat, trout fishing on the lakes, casting instruction and support from ghillies and guides throughout the day.

A typical Farnley corporate day begins with breakfast rolls on arrival, before guests enjoy hosted fishing, expert guiding and tuition, with fishing equipment provided if required. A delicious lunch and refreshments throughout the day help create a relaxed and memorable experience, with additional catering tailored to suit the occasion.

We are happy to tailor corporate days to the size, experience and requirements of each group. To discuss availability or plan a corporate day at Farnley, please contact us at info@farnleyestate.co.uk

JUNIOR DAYS

At Farnley, we believe young people are the future of fishing, and that if fishing is to thrive, they need the opportunity to enjoy it early and build confidence on the water. Our junior days are designed to give young people a positive, well-supported introduction to fishing and estate life.

Depending on age, experience and conditions, juniors may spend time on the lakes or the river, learning the basics of fishing, developing casting skills, and becoming more confident around water in a safe and relaxed setting. Where appropriate, the day may also include wild swimming, rowing, paddleboarding or other non-motorised water activities.

We also believe there is real value in helping young people build a wider understanding of the natural world around them. Time at Farnley is not only about learning to fish, but about understanding the river, landscape and wildlife that shape it. Junior days may include an introduction to fly tying, the salmon life cycle, river and lake habitat management, changing water and weather conditions, and the geography of the estate itself, including Farnley Scar. The aim is to give young people enjoyment, confidence, knowledge, curiosity and a lasting connection to the countryside.

Junior days are suitable for children aged 11+, whether new to fishing or already keen to learn more. They can be arranged for individuals, siblings, friends or small groups, and tailored according to age and experience.
