ESTATE PLAN

The estate is centred around a private stretch of the River Tyne, with all fishing and facilities easily accessed from a single entrance off the A695.

The river forms the northern boundary, where a sequence of named salmon pools run along the Farnley bank. To the south of the river lie the estate’s stillwaters. Main Lake and New Lake are positioned within the centre of the estate, offering well-stocked and varied fishing trout and course fishing, while Pontoon Lagoon provides additional access and a connection point via a pontoon crossing.

There are a variety of pontoons to fish from and boats to access the main lake.  Access to the estate is through paths leading from the entrance gate with a car park across the railway, walking to the fishing hut and beat. There are toilet facilities next to the fishing hut during the season.

FISHING AT FARNLEY

Farnley is a family-run fishery on the River Tyne, carefully managed to offer a peaceful and well-looked-after experience throughout the season, while remaining as wild as possible. The main beat is normally fished by three rods.

A separate fourth rod is retained by the estate for a small invitation-only syndicate, and on selected pre-booked dates one syndicate member may fish alongside a booked party.Much of the season is allocated in advance to returning rods, with remaining day rods released as availability allows.

The estate is managed carefully throughout the year, with selected dates reserved for special events and Sundays kept for family use. A valid Environment Agency rod licence is required to fish at Farnley. Well - behaved dogs are welcome, provided they are kept on a lead.
